Dusklilt / privacy

Your evening stays personal.

Privacy information for Dusklilt 2.0 and the upcoming 2.1 update to DreamWeave. Updated October 27, 2026, by NextEleven LLC.

Information stored on your device

Your routines, sound favorites, journal titles and notes, optional reflection labels, and app playback history are stored locally in the app. Preserved older DreamWeave favorites and session snapshots may also be retained. The app creates no NextEleven account and sends none of these records to a NextEleven server.

Versions 2.0 and 2.1 have no advertising or third-party analytics SDK, external AI-provider requests, microphone access, HealthKit access or HomeKit access. Version 2.1 adds no new data collection or access requests for story narration. Listening history is app playback information, not collected or inferred health data.

Included audio and story narration

The included sound recordings and story text are bundled with the app. Version 2.1 also bundles six AI-generated story recordings, labelled Cedar or Marin in each reader. These recordings were prepared before release; playing them does not make a request to an AI provider, require an AI-provider account or API key, or download a story.

Optional Apple system-voice read-aloud remains a separate on-device choice in both versions. Dusklilt does not upload your journal or the story text to a speech or AI provider. System voice availability and any OS-managed voice downloads are controlled by Apple and your device settings.

Apple purchases

StoreKit communicates with Apple to load products, process purchases and restore or verify entitlements. The app uses verified product and transaction information to determine Plus access. Apple handles its payment and account data under its own policies; the app does not receive full payment-card details. Versions 2.0 and 2.1 do not use RevenueCat or a third-party purchase backend.

Backups, sharing and other services

Your records leave the app when you choose to export or share a full JSON backup. The export may include private journal notes and legacy records, and is not password-protected by Dusklilt. The destination you choose, including a cloud drive, email service or recipient, handles its copy under its own terms and settings.

Your operating system or device-backup service may include app data in backups according to your settings. Dusklilt does not provide its own cloud sync. Opening support, policy or Apple links uses your browser and network; those websites may process ordinary connection information.

Retention and deletion

You can remove individual journal notes and routines in the app. Keep separate control of exported copies and device backups. Original DreamWeave preferences remain untouched for migration safety; removing a current note or routine does not erase a retained legacy snapshot or previously exported backup.

Deleting the app removes its local container, subject to any device or cloud backups and Apple’s behavior. NextEleven has no server copy of your journal to recover. Back up important records before deleting the app or changing devices.
