Dusklilt / support
A little help for your evening.
Support for Dusklilt 2.0 and the upcoming 2.1 update to DreamWeave, by NextEleven LLC.
Start listening
Choose an included sound or ready-made scene and press Play. Open Listening to combine up to three sound layers, adjust their individual levels, and choose a timer and fade. Start at a comfortable device volume. Pause or stop whenever you need to; the app is not a medical device or a sleep monitor.
If playback cannot start, follow the displayed error rather than assuming a silent session is playing. Check your device volume and selected speaker or headphones. Contact support if the problem repeats.
Stories in version 2.0
Six complete original stories can be read without payment. Read-aloud uses an available English system voice on your device; it does not send the story to an external AI provider. Voice availability is managed by iOS and may vary. Use the reader’s Start read-aloud, Pause, Resume and Stop controls. Choose a reading pace before starting. Read-aloud stops the sound mix; leaving the story stops read-aloud. The sound timer applies to sound mixes, not the story reader. If read-aloud is unavailable, the complete text remains readable. Any voice downloads managed through iOS are subject to Apple’s settings and services.
Recorded stories in upcoming version 2.1
Open Stories and choose any of the six original stories. The Recorded story panel labels the AI-generated Cedar or Marin narrator. Choose Listen to story to start; use Pause, Resume or Stop, move the Story position slider to seek, or choose Listen again after the recording finishes. The recordings and complete text are bundled for offline use, without a story download, sign-in, AI-provider account or API key.
Choose Use Apple system voice instead for the separate on-device read-aloud option. Its voice availability and reading pace work as described above. Return to recorded narration switches back to the bundled recording. Starting either narration mode stops the sound mix; leaving the story stops narration. The sound timer applies to sound mixes, not either story mode. If a recording cannot play, the complete text and separate Apple system-voice option remain available.
What stays free
All twelve included sound recordings, mixing, timers, stories, journal notes, favorites, listening records and backup tools are free. The six bundled story narrations in upcoming 2.1 are also free. Your first saved personal routine is free. Optional Plus adds additional saved routines. A routine keeps your selected sounds, levels, timer and fade together.
Plus and Restore purchases
Dusklilt Plus remains a one-time unlock in 2.1; it only adds additional saved named routines. When available, Apple shows the actual localized price and confirmation before purchase. If the App Store cannot load purchase options, the free tools and existing saved records remain available.
Use Restore purchases with the Apple Account that made the purchase. The app also recognizes a valid matching historical DreamWeave monthly subscription, if one exists. Buying the one-time unlock does not cancel an existing subscription; manage any renewal through Apple Settings. Saved routines remain readable and playable if a historical subscription expires.
Your journal and listening history
Journal notes are personal reflections, not health assessments. Recent listening records describe sound-mix playback time. They do not include story narration, establish that you were asleep, or measure sleep quality. Older DreamWeave planned-session data is retained separately and is not converted into measured sleep or verified listening time.
Back up before troubleshooting
On Tonight, tap the settings sliders in the top corner to open Yours to keep, then choose Export full backup. The JSON file can contain journal notes, routines, favorites, listening history and preserved older records. Dusklilt does not password-protect this export. Save it somewhere private and avoid sending it to support unless necessary and reviewed by you.
Import and merge backup adds new records while retaining the existing local version of a conflicting record. It does not provide automatic cloud sync or restore purchase authority. If saved storage cannot be read, editing is protected from replacing it. Keep the original file and contact support; do not delete the app before backing up.
Older DreamWeave data
The update keeps the existing Apple app identity and leaves original DreamWeave preferences untouched. Earlier story favorites and supported session snapshots are retained in the backup where possible. Migration warnings identify limits or unreadable old data; a preserved snapshot does not mean every old feature remains available.
