Note to Self — Privacy
Android privacy policy · October 13, 2026
NextEleven LLC publishes Note to Self. Typed notes, tags and categories are stored on your device; they are not sent to NextEleven or RevenueCat. No note account or advertising SDK is included. Local app data is not separately encrypted by the app; protect your device and backups. Uninstalling or clearing app data can remove notes.
Voice dictation is optional. Microphone access is requested only when you choose dictation. Dictation requires Android's on-device recognition or a supported Google speech service. The app checks this route before dictation. Google may process speech on its servers over an encrypted connection under its own privacy settings. Offline recognition is requested where supported; dictation is not universally offline. Typing remains available when permission is denied or speech is unavailable. This Android version saves transcript text, not an original audio recording.
Google Play processes subscriptions; RevenueCat validates purchase access and processes purchase history, subscription status, store locale/currency and pricing and an anonymous app identifier for functionality and purchase analytics. We do not supply note text, names, email addresses or phone numbers to RevenueCat. No advertising tracking or Sentry crash reporting is included in this release.
Exporting/sharing notes is your action. The system share sheet lets you choose an app or destination; that destination has its own privacy practices. Temporary export files may remain in app cache. Google/device backups may include local app data according to your settings. Delete notes within the app; clearing app storage removes the local library. These actions do not cancel a subscription.
Retention and deletion: local notes stay until you delete them or remove app storage; device backups follow your backup settings. Deleting a local note does not remove purchase-validation records or cancel billing. We have no automatic 90-day deletion schedule for subscription-validation records. For privacy or deletion requests about those records, contact nextelevenstudios@gmail.com with the app name and a Google Play order reference if you have one. Do not send passwords, purchase tokens or private notes. We can help identify the applicable service-held records; Google Play billing records and speech-provider history have separate controls and retention practices.
Provider privacy information: RevenueCat and Google.
The app is intended for teens 13+ and adults. For privacy questions contact nextelevenstudios@gmail.com. Do not send private note contents. The existing Apple app has a separate purchase and implementation; this Android policy describes the Android subscription release.
