Note to Self — iOS Privacy

iOS 1.1 privacy policy · October 17, 2026

Your notes stay on your device

NextEleven LLC publishes Note to Self. Typed text, tags, categories and original recordings are stored in the app’s protected iOS container. These contents are not sent to NextEleven or RevenueCat. No note account or advertising SDK is included. Apple device backups may include app data according to your settings; protect your device, backups and exports.

Microphone and transcription

Recording is optional and requires Plus. The microphone is requested only after you choose to record and confirm permission to record the people involved. Recording stops when the app leaves the foreground. Apple Speech is requested for on-device transcription only; the app has no server-transcription fallback. Device/language support and accuracy vary. If transcription is unavailable, the original audio remains on the device. You can delete original audio while retaining text.

Optional Plus purchases

Apple processes subscriptions. RevenueCat validates purchase access and processes purchase history, subscription status, storefront/currency, pricing and an anonymous app identifier for app functionality and purchase analytics. Ordinary network requests carry connection metadata. We do not supply note text, tags, categories, recordings, names, email addresses or phone numbers to RevenueCat. No advertising tracking is included. A developer-issued complimentary access code is a synthetic access identifier, not a note account.

Export, retention and deletion

You choose an export or share destination. The recipient service handles that copy under its own privacy terms. Text/PDF/JSON exports do not include original audio; JSON includes note metadata. Local notes remain until deleted, app data is removed or the app is uninstalled. Backups and exported copies have separate controls. NextEleven cannot retrieve or remotely erase content stored only on your device.

Purchase records

Deleting notes or uninstalling does not cancel billing or erase provider-held purchase-validation records. We have no automatic 90-day deletion schedule for purchase records. Contact nextelevenstudios@gmail.com with the app name and an order reference, if available, for help identifying applicable records. Never send passwords, access codes, purchase tokens, private notes or recordings. Apple controls its own billing-record retention.

Audience and contact

Note to Self is a general utility for teens 13+ and adults. Privacy questions: nextelevenstudios@gmail.com. This page describes the native iOS 1.1 update. Android uses a separate speech implementation and policy; the separately listed earlier Mac application has its own implementation.
