Note to Self — iOS Terms & Purchase Information
iOS 1.1 · October 17, 2026
Your content and the app license
You retain ownership of your notes. Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement governs the App Store license. Use the app lawfully, obtain any consent required to record others, protect your device and maintain backups or exports. Automated transcription may be wrong; verify important information against the original. Note to Self is a productivity tool, not a medical, legal or emergency service.
Free and optional features
Free features include unlimited typed notes, reading/editing, search, pinning, archive, deletion and text/PDF/JSON exports. Optional Plus adds recording/on-device transcription where supported and editing categories/tags. Existing notes, audio and organization remain accessible when Plus ends. The app has no cross-platform note account; Apple and Google purchases do not automatically transfer.
Apple subscriptions
Plus is an optional monthly auto-renewing Apple subscription. The intended U.S. price is $1.99/month with a seven-day free trial for eligible subscribers. Apple’s localized price, eligibility and billing date shown before purchase control. Installing does not start a trial. A trial renews at the displayed monthly price unless cancelled before renewal in Apple Account subscriptions. Deleting notes or uninstalling does not cancel. Restore purchases uses the same Apple Account. Apple handles billing/refunds under its policies and applicable law.
Earlier purchases and complimentary access
Eligible earlier paid Apple purchasers retain Plus after verification of their original production purchase; use Restore purchases on the Plus screen. A developer-issued complimentary code is separate from a trial or subscription and cannot read another person’s notes. The iOS 1.1 price transition is coordinated with release; these update notes do not claim the new version is already public.
